Forst Technology, Inc - Muldrow Facility

Location

Centrally located in the River Valley Area, Forst Technolgy is a “one-stop shop” for manufacturers.  We are strategically located in the heart of the tri-state manufacturing area.   We have the ability to support a wide range of processes.  We have been in business since 2002, and have been a team since 2000.  Over the years we have solved numerous problems for a wide variety of customers.

Our Experience

We have found that Labview (a programming language developed by National Instruments for NASA) is a tremendous asset to our business and our clients.   We have replaced  PLCs with computers running Labview and the customers love the results.  We know that PLCs are extremely useful in a variety of applications; however, they are too restrictive when data acquisition is needed, or HMI (human machine interface).

We have done everything from developing a test stand that runs for days without supervision, to FFT (Fast Fourier transform) analysis of a sound wave.  We pride ourselves of being able to do whatever is required to complete a project.  We can design our own circuit boards, interface with virtually any equipment at your facility, perform any automation needed, program in whatever language is required, and finally construct whatever is required.   We are a fully functional shop specializing in turn-key solutions.  Most customers simply give us a problem they are having, and we come up with the solution, prototype it, then build whatever is required to perform the needed function.

Primary business

Engineering Consulting

Troubleshooting: We will come on site, attach data acquisition devices as required and find what is causing the problem.  We have the skills to locate a problem in controls, mechanical/electrical components, timing setting, computer, or your electronics.

Solutions and Support Services: If you don’t know what the problem is, we can find it and fix it.

Design and Construction of New Tests and Test Systems

We specialize in constructing new equipment for factory use.  We have built large automated test equipment, conveyor systems, and small gauging devices to prevent out of spec parts from leaving the factory.
Some Examples:

  • Air tests (full test stand example)
  • We pioneered a process that simulates the effect of oil on a mechanical pump using only air.  We have built numerous stands around this process, and the company loves it.  It  reduces oil waste and decreases the required test time.
  • Spin Test (small single purpose test , online test /no user)
  • An online machine that checks the part for lockups and tight
  • Laser profiling
  • Automated assembly line checks (poka-yoke) for critical components present or out of spec
